About Silver Nova

Silver Nova launched Silversea’s Nova Class in 2023. Built by Meyer Werft at 54,700 gross tons for 728 guests and a crew of 544, it is the largest ship Silversea has built, yet it keeps close to one crew member per guest. Its asymmetrical, horizontal layout shifts public rooms to one side so the Atrium, lounges and the pool open directly to the sea, and Silversea calls the pool deck on decks 10 and 11 the largest in its fleet. All 364 suites have a veranda and a butler.

Dining runs to eight restaurants plus the Arts Café: Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, Kaiseki, the Silver Note supper club, The Marquee (home of The Grill and Spaccanapoli under open skies) and the S.A.L.T. Kitchen with its 11-course S.A.L.T. Chef’s Table. Bars include The Dusk Bar sky bar, The Shelter on deck 3, the S.A.L.T. Bar, Dolce Vita and the Panorama and Observation lounges, and the Otium Spa carries Silversea’s wellness concept into every suite.

Through 2026 and 2027 Silver Nova is Silversea’s Greek Isles and Eastern Mediterranean ship, sailing 7 to 14 day voyages round trip from Piraeus (Athens) with Venice, Rome, Barcelona and Lisbon legs in spring and fall. It crosses to the Caribbean each December for Bridgetown, San Juan and Miami sailings, and on January 6, 2027 it leaves Miami on a 75 day Grand Voyage around South America, including Rio de Janeiro during Carnival. It suits couples who want the newest, largest Silversea ship with the widest choice of venues.

Silver Nova questions we answer every day

How big is Silver Nova?
Silver Nova is 54,700 gross tons, 801 feet long and carries 728 guests in 364 suites with a crew of 544, which Silversea describes as close to one crew member per guest. It is the largest ship Silversea has built and the first of the Nova Class, with nine passenger decks and public rooms arranged asymmetrically so most of them open onto the sea.
What is different about the Nova Class design?
Silversea moved the funnel casing and service spaces to one side of the ship so the Atrium, the pool, The Dusk Bar and the restaurants can stretch to the opposite rail with uninterrupted views. The pool deck on decks 10 and 11 is the largest in the fleet, The Marquee puts The Grill and Spaccanapoli outdoors, and the Signature and Master Suites were introduced with this class.
Which suites are best on Silver Nova?
Every suite has a veranda and a butler. Premium Veranda Suites get the best mid-ship positions in the entry grades, Medallion Suites add a living room and full bath at 527 sq ft, and Signature Suites offer unobstructed views at 700 sq ft. Master Suites take the aft corners, and the 1,324 sq ft Otium Suite has a 431 sq ft veranda with a private hot tub.
What is included in a Silver Nova fare?
Silversea fares include butler service in every suite, open bars and in-suite drinks, most restaurants, gratuities, Wi-Fi and a shore excursion in most ports on port-to-port fares; door-to-door fares add flights, transfers and airport lounge access. La Dame, the Kaiseki dinner and the S.A.L.T. Chef’s Table carry reservation fees, and spa treatments and the casino are extra.
Where does Silver Nova sail in 2026 and 2027?
Silver Nova spends spring through fall in the Mediterranean, mostly 7 to 14 day Greek Isles and Eastern Mediterranean voyages round trip from Piraeus (Athens) with Venice, Rome, Barcelona and Lisbon legs. It crosses to the Caribbean in December for Bridgetown, San Juan and Miami sailings, and on January 6, 2027 departs Miami on a 75 day Grand Voyage around South America before returning to Europe in spring.
Is Silver Nova right for a first Silversea cruise?
Yes. It is the most contemporary Silversea ship, with the largest pool deck, the most bars and eight restaurants, so it feels less formal than the older classic ships while keeping butler service in every suite. Guests who prefer a smaller, quieter ship may prefer the 596-guest Silver Moon or Silver Dawn, which share the S.A.L.T. program.

Facts checked against Silversea: Silver Nova, Silversea press release: 230 new voyages for 2026-2027, Silversea: Alaska cruises (fleet facts) on October 13, 2026. Ship details change with refurbishments; your SmartCruiser advisor confirms the current layout when you book.
