About Silver Ray

Silver Ray is the second Nova Class ship, delivered by Meyer Werft in 2024 as a sister to Silver Nova. At 54,700 gross tons it carries 728 guests with a crew of 544, and it shares the class’s horizontal, asymmetrical layout that pushes the Atrium, lounges and the pool to the ship’s side so public rooms look straight out to sea. Every suite has a veranda and butler service, and Silversea says many offer a 270-degree view from sea to sky.

Eight restaurants plus the Arts Café cover Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, Kaiseki, the Silver Note jazz supper club, the S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Chef’s Table, and The Marquee, the open-air home of The Grill and Spaccanapoli found only on Silver Nova and Silver Ray. The Dusk Bar sky bar, The Shelter, the S.A.L.T. Bar and Dolce Vita handle evenings, the Venetian Lounge spans two decks, and the Otium Spa anchors wellness.

In 2026 and 2027 Silver Ray splits its year between the Western and Central Mediterranean and the Caribbean. From April to November it sails 7 to 14 day voyages from Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Venice, then crosses from Lisbon to Miami for round trip Caribbean sailings of 11 to 14 nights plus Bridgetown legs through winter. It suits couples who want Nova Class space and dining with a Florida home port in the cooler months.

Silver Ray questions we answer every day

How big is Silver Ray?
Silver Ray is 54,700 gross tons and 801 feet long with nine passenger decks, carrying 728 guests and a crew of 544. It is a sister to Silver Nova and the second of Silversea’s Nova Class, with the same asymmetrical layout, the largest pool in the fleet and all-veranda suites served by butlers.
Where does Silver Ray sail in 2026 and 2027?
From spring to fall Silver Ray sails 7 to 14 day Mediterranean voyages between Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Venice. In late November it crosses from Lisbon to Miami and runs round trip Caribbean cruises of 11 to 14 nights from Miami through the winter, with Bridgetown legs, before crossing back to Lisbon and Barcelona in March.
How is Silver Ray different from Silver Nova?
The two ships are near-identical twins. Both have the Nova Class asymmetrical design, The Marquee, The Dusk Bar, The Shelter, the Otium Spa and the same suite grades. The difference in 2026-2027 is deployment: Silver Ray covers the Western Mediterranean and a Miami-based Caribbean winter, while Silver Nova takes the Greek Isles and the South America Grand Voyage.
Which suites should I consider on Silver Ray?
Premium Veranda Suites get the best positions among the 357 sq ft entry grades. Medallion Suites add a living room and full bath at 527 sq ft, Signature Suites offer unobstructed views at 700 sq ft, Master Suites take the aft corners, and the Otium Suite has a 431 sq ft veranda with a private hot tub. Grand, Owner’s and Silver Suites can adjoin a Veranda Suite as two-bedroom suites.
What is included on Silver Ray?
Fares include a butler for every suite, drinks throughout the ship and in your suite, most restaurants, gratuities, Wi-Fi and a shore excursion in most ports on port-to-port fares; door-to-door fares add flights and transfers. La Dame, the Kaiseki dinner and the S.A.L.T. Chef’s Table carry reservation fees, and spa treatments are extra.
Is Silver Ray good for a Caribbean cruise from Miami?
Yes. Silver Ray is the Silversea ship based in Miami for round trip Caribbean sailings in the 2026-2027 winter, with 11 to 14 night itineraries to islands such as San Juan, St. John and St. Barts, so Florida and Southeast travelers can board without a transatlantic flight.

Facts checked against Silversea: Silver Ray, Silversea press release: 230 new voyages for 2026-2027 on October 13, 2026. Ship details change with refurbishments; your SmartCruiser advisor confirms the current layout when you book.
