About Silver Shadow
Silver Shadow is the first of Silversea’s two Shadow Class ships, built by Mariotti in Genoa in 2000 and refurbished in 2019. At 28,258 gross tons for just 392 guests with a crew of 302, Silversea calls it one of its most intimate experiences, with one of the highest space-to-guest ratios at sea. All 194 suites are butler-served, about 80 percent have a teak veranda and the smallest, the Vista Suite, is 287 sq ft.
Four restaurants cover the day: The Restaurant for à la carte dining, La Terrazza for buffets and Italian dinners, The Grill by the pool and La Dame for French tasting menus. The Show Lounge, Panorama Lounge, The Bar and the Atrium bar on deck 5 handle the evenings, Connoisseur’s Corner is the cigar and spirits room, and the Zagara Beauty Spa, fitness center and Observation Library sit on the upper decks. The size means the ship fits ports the larger ships cannot.
In 2026 and 2027 Silver Shadow works the Americas and the Mediterranean. Fall 2026 is Canada and New England between New York and Montreal with longer stays in Portland, Boston, Halifax and Quebec, then Caribbean sailings from Miami and San Juan through winter. After a March 2027 crossing it sails 8 to 12 night Mediterranean voyages from Villefranche (Nice) and Venice all summer, repeats Canada and New England in the fall and returns to Miami in December. It suits travelers who want the smallest classic Silversea ship and lesser-visited ports.
