About Silver Whisper

Silver Whisper is the sister to Silver Shadow and the second Shadow Class ship, built by Mariotti in Genoa in 2001 and most recently refurbished in 2024. At 28,258 gross tons for 392 guests with a crew of 302, it is among the smallest luxury ships to host a world cruise, and Silversea says it was built to access secluded ports and bring the Pacific’s most elusive edges into focus. All 194 suites have butlers and marble bathrooms, and about 80 percent have a teak veranda.

Dining is in four rooms: The Restaurant for à la carte meals, La Terrazza for buffets and Italian dinners, The Grill by the pool and La Dame for French tasting menus, with 24-hour in-suite dining served by your butler. The Show Lounge, Panorama Lounge, The Bar and the deck 5 Atrium bar cover the evenings, Connoisseur’s Corner serves cigars and spirits, and the Zagara Beauty Spa, salon, fitness center and Observation Library sit on the top decks.

Through 2026 and 2027 Silver Whisper is Silversea’s South Pacific ship. It sails 7 to 14 night French Polynesia round trips from Papeete from October 2026 through April 2027, with the Society Islands, Tuamotus and Marquesas, extended port stays and private-island calls. In spring 2027 it repositions through Hawaii to Vancouver for seven night Alaska voyages between Vancouver and Seward from June to early September, then returns through Honolulu to Papeete for the winter. It suits travelers who want a small ship in Tahiti or Alaska.

Classic, Superior and Deluxe Veranda Suites

345 sq ft including a 60 sq ft teak veranda with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, sitting area, walk-in wardrobe and marble bathroom with full-size bath and separate shower; Deluxe grades are mid-ship, and a dozen Veranda Suites sleep three.

Medallion Suite

521 sq ft including an 81 sq ft veranda, with a living room with sitting and dining areas, whirlpool bath and separate shower; sleeps three.

Silver Suite

653 to 701 sq ft with a 110 to 123 sq ft veranda, living room with convertible sofa, separate dining area and marble bathroom with whirlpool bath; sleeps three.

Royal and Owner’s Suites

Royal Suites are 967 to 1,007 sq ft (up to 1,352 sq ft as a two-bedroom); the Owner’s Suite is 919 sq ft with a 220 sq ft veranda (1,264 sq ft with a Vista Suite attached); both have a dining area, bar and powder room.

Grand Suite

941 to 1,090 sq ft with a 103 to 116 sq ft veranda, living room, dining area and bar and a whirlpool bath, expanding to 1,286 to 1,435 sq ft with a second bedroom.

Which suites are best on Silver Whisper?
About 80 percent of suites have a veranda. Deluxe Veranda Suites give the standard 345 sq ft layout in the best central spots, Medallion Suites add a living room at 521 sq ft, Silver Suites a dining area at up to 701 sq ft, and Royal, Owner’s and Grand Suites run from 919 to 1,090 sq ft with bars and powder rooms. Vista Suites at 287 sq ft are the picture-window entry grade.
