About S.S. Beatrice

S.S. Beatrice began life in 2009 as River Beatrice and was rebuilt in 2018 into a Super Ship, which is why she looks newer than her build date. At 430 feet she carries 148 guests with a staff of 58. The remodel gave her a yacht-style look of light wood with blue and white finishes, a lobby with marble floors, a white Murano chandelier with blue shades and a grand staircase of nickel and black iron, and artwork that includes Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder and Pino Signoretto.

She is the Uniworld ship for travelers who want choice at dinner. Four venues are named for Austrian composers: Mozart’s, the main restaurant; Wolfgang’s bar and lounge; Schubert’s, an 18-seat café at the bow serving shared plates from lunch through dinner; and Max’s, where the chef runs intimate cooking classes. The rebuild added two 310-square-foot Grand Suites, a second 390-square-foot Royal Suite and connecting rooms for friends and families, and the lounge gained USB ports at every seat.

S.S. Beatrice sails the Danube, Main and Rhine. Her 2026 program is the 8-day Delightful Danube from Budapest to Regensburg, with a Prague extension. In 2027 she heads east for Highlights of Eastern Europe (Budapest to Bucharest, 10 days) and the 19-day Portraits of Eastern Europe from Prague, then European Holiday Markets and a 13-day Grand Christmas & New Year’s cruise from Nuremberg. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Uniworld allows it, not available booking direct.

S.S. Beatrice questions we answer every day

How big is S.S. Beatrice?
S.S. Beatrice is 430 feet long and 37.5 feet wide, carrying 148 guests with a staff of 58. She was built in 2009 as River Beatrice and rebuilt in 2018 as a Super Ship, with two Royal Suites, two Grand Suites, 12 Suites and 60 staterooms, four dining venues, a lounge, the Serenity River Spa, a fitness center and a Sun Deck.
Where does S.S. Beatrice sail in 2026 and 2027?
In 2026 she sails the 8-day Delightful Danube from Budapest to Regensburg via Vienna, the Wachau and Passau, with a Prague hotel extension. In 2027 she takes on Highlights of Eastern Europe from Budapest to Bucharest and the 19-day Portraits of Eastern Europe from Prague, then European Holiday Markets from Nuremberg to Vienna and a 13-day Grand Christmas & New Year’s cruise from Nuremberg to Budapest.
Which staterooms are best on S.S. Beatrice?
The 2018 rebuild created the ship’s best rooms: two 390-square-foot Royal Suites with living rooms and two 310-square-foot Grand Suites, all with tubs and butler service. The 12 Suites at 225 square feet are the sensible step up from the 150-square-foot French Balcony rooms, and connecting rooms are available for families. Classic rooms sit at the water line.
What is included on S.S. Beatrice?
All meals in all four venues including the Max’s cooking class, unlimited wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks all day, a choice of shore excursions in every port, Wi-Fi, bicycles and Nordic walking sticks, daily fitness classes, 24-hour room service and gratuities for onboard staff. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Uniworld allows it, not available booking direct.
What are the four restaurants on S.S. Beatrice?
All four are named for Austrian composers. Mozart’s is the main restaurant. Wolfgang’s is the bar and lounge. Schubert’s is an 18-seat café at the bow serving shared plates from lunch through dinner. Max’s hosts intimate cooking classes where guests prepare local European dishes with the chef. Uniworld describes S.S. Beatrice as the ship with the most dining options in its fleet.
Is S.S. Beatrice suitable for families?
Uniworld admits guests aged 5 and over on its European ships but offers few activities for children on standard departures, and S.S. Beatrice is not assigned to the Generations family program. She does have connecting staterooms added in the rebuild, which makes her a practical choice for multi-generational groups of adults and older teens.
