About S.S. Catherine
S.S. Catherine is Uniworld’s second Super Ship, delivered in 2014 for the rivers of southern France. At 443 feet she carries 158 guests in 79 staterooms and suites with a staff of 59. The two-story lobby is her calling card, with a specially commissioned Murano glass chandelier and a whimsical life-size glass horse, and the public rooms carry the Provence theme through the Cézanne Restaurant, the Van Gogh Lounge and the Bar du Leopard, where the indoor pool sits.
She suits wine and food travelers. Deluxe Balcony staterooms and Suites on the Camargue Deck have the floor-to-ceiling glass that rises at a touch to form an enclosed conservatory, every room has a handcrafted Savoir bed, marble bathroom and Asprey amenities, and designated suites convert for a third guest, one of only a few Uniworld ships that allow triples. Suites add butler service, laundry and a stocked mini bar.
S.S. Catherine sails the Rhône and Saône between Arles and Lyon. Her 2026-2027 program is the 8-day Burgundy & Provence cruise (Arles to Lyon or reverse), the 15-day Grand France (Paris to Arles, paired with a Seine cruise), the 22-day Ultimate France from Bordeaux, and a Rhône Winter Holiday cruise in December. August 2027 brings a Generations family departure. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Uniworld allows it, not available booking direct.
