Weekend Bahamas cruises from Miami on the ship that started the Conquest Class.
Best for: South Florida drive-to guests, first-time cruisers and families who want a three- or four-day Bahamas getaway from Miami with Celebration Key on every sailing. Sails from Miami in 2026 and 2027.
Carnival Conquest entered service in December 2002 as the first of Carnival’s Conquest Class, built by Fincantieri in Monfalcone, Italy. At 110,000 gross tons and 952 feet long she carries 2,980 guests with 1,150 crew on 13 decks, and her interiors take their names from the French Impressionists, from the Renoir and Monet dining rooms up. She came out of her most recent refit at Grand Bahama Shipyard in February 2026 with refreshed public rooms, casino and retail spaces.
This is a ship for guests who want a short, easy escape rather than a long voyage. The Lido deck has Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina and the Carnival Deli alongside the buffet, with the Steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi Express, Seafood Shack and the Chef’s Table as pay-extra choices. Evenings run through Playlist Productions shows, the Punchliner Comedy Club, Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Rum Bar and the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, while Serenity gives adults a retreat of their own.
Carnival Conquest is homeported year-round at PortMiami through 2026, 2027 and into 2028. Three-day weekend cruises visit Celebration Key, Carnival’s Grand Bahama destination, and four-day sailings add RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays, with five-day options in 2027. Longer Carnival Journeys voyages break up the schedule: an 11-day Southern Caribbean cruise departs January 11, 2027, and two more Journeys sail in November 2027. She suits South Florida drive-to guests, first-time cruisers and anyone adding a cruise to a Miami trip.

Carnival Conquest questions we answer every day
How big is Carnival Conquest?
Carnival Conquest is 110,000 gross tons and 952 feet long with 13 decks. Carnival lists guest capacity at 2,980 with 1,150 crew. She was the first ship of the Conquest Class when she entered service in 2002, and she is a mid-sized ship by today’s standards, big enough for a full lineup of venues but easy to learn in a day.
Where does Carnival Conquest sail in 2026 and 2027?
She sails year-round from PortMiami. Three-day weekend cruises visit Celebration Key, Carnival’s destination on Grand Bahama, and four-day cruises add RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays. An 11-day Carnival Journeys cruise to the Southern Caribbean departs January 11, 2027, and Carnival has her in Miami through 2027 and into 2028 with more Journeys sailings that November.
Who is Carnival Conquest best for?
Guests who want a quick, lively break: long weekends, birthday groups, first-timers testing the water and families from Florida who would rather drive than fly. The ship has Carnival’s core lineup of Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, Alchemy Bar, the Punchliner Comedy Club and Playlist Productions, with Camp Ocean for the kids and Serenity for the adults.
Which staterooms are the best choice on Carnival Conquest?
For a short cruise an Interior or Ocean View room is all most guests need. Couples who want fresh air should look at Balcony rooms, and the Aft-View Extended Balcony and Premium Vista Balcony rooms at the back corners are the ones to ask for first. Suites add a whirlpool tub, more space and priority boarding and dining perks.
What is included in the fare on Carnival Conquest?
Your fare covers your stateroom, the Renoir and Monet dining rooms, the Lido buffet, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, the Carnival Deli, Seaday Brunch, the shows, comedy club, pools, Camp Ocean and Seuss at Sea activities. The Steakhouse, Seafood Shack, Bonsai Sushi Express, the Chef’s Table, bar drinks, Wi-Fi and the spa cost extra.
What is new on Carnival Conquest?
Carnival Conquest returned to Miami in February 2026 after a 12-day dry dock at Grand Bahama Shipyard, following a 2022 refit in Cádiz, Spain, that gave her Carnival’s red, white and blue hull. Every Bahamas sailing now calls at Celebration Key, which opened in July 2025, and four-day cruises visit the rebuilt RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay.
