About Oasis of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas is the ship that started the Oasis Class in 2009 and set the template every big Royal Caribbean ship still follows: seven distinct neighborhoods including the open-air Central Park, the Boardwalk with its carousel and AquaTheater, and a Royal Promenade lined with bars and cafes. At 226,838 gross tons with 2,801 staterooms and 5,602 guests at double occupancy, it is one of the largest ships afloat, and it was fully updated in the 2019 Royal Amplified program.

The 2019 amplification added The Perfect Storm waterslides, the Ultimate Abyss dry slide, Splashaway Bay for kids, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, Portside BBQ, Music Hall, a redesigned pool deck and new Ultimate Panoramic Suites. That gives Oasis the same signature thrills as its younger sisters, with the mature, tree-filled Central Park and the laid-back Boardwalk that families and multigenerational groups keep coming back for.

For 2026 and 2027 Oasis of the Seas splits its year between Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey, sailing 7 to 9 night Bahamas and Port Canaveral itineraries each summer, and Fort Lauderdale in the winter months with 3 and 4 night cruises to Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau. It suits first-time cruisers who want everything on one ship, families with kids of every age, and Northeast cruisers who prefer to skip the flight.

  • Splashaway Bay kids aqua park (added 2019)
