About Wonder of the Seas

Wonder of the Seas is the fifth Oasis Class ship, built at Chantiers de l’Atlantique and launched from Fort Lauderdale on March 4, 2022. At 235,600 gross tons, 1,188 feet long and 18 decks, she carries 5,734 guests at double occupancy in 2,867 staterooms, the most of any Oasis Class ship. Royal Caribbean describes her as Florida’s best family vacation and Miami’s new weekend wonder.

She introduced the Suite Neighborhood, a dedicated area on the top decks with a Suite Sun Deck, plunge pool, Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen, along with the Ultimate Family Suite, the Vue Bar cantilevered over the pool deck, the Wonder Playscape for kids and the Mason Jar Southern restaurant. The eight neighborhoods also include Central Park with more than 20,000 plants, the Boardwalk and the Royal Promenade.

Since August 2025 Wonder of the Seas has sailed from Miami, and through 2026 and 2027 she offers 3-, 4- and 5-night Bahamas cruises that visit Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau, departing on Mondays and Fridays. It is the same formula as Utopia at Port Canaveral, aimed at South Florida weekenders and visitors who want a big ship on a short break.

Wonder of the Seas questions we answer every day

How big is Wonder of the Seas?
Wonder of the Seas is 235,600 gross tons, 1,188 feet long and 215 feet wide, with 18 decks (16 for guests), 2,867 staterooms, 5,734 guests at double occupancy and 2,204 crew. She is the fifth of six Oasis Class ships and one of the largest cruise ships in the world.
Where does Wonder of the Seas sail in 2026 and 2027?
She sails round trip from Miami on 3-night weekend, 4-night and 5-night Bahamas cruises. Every sailing calls at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island, and most also stop in Nassau. Departures run on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year.
Who is Wonder of the Seas best for?
Families and groups who want a full-size Oasis Class ship without a week-long commitment. The short itineraries suit first-time cruisers, long weekends and celebrations, while the Suite Neighborhood gives couples and multigenerational families a quieter retreat above the action, with its own pool and restaurant.
What is the Suite Neighborhood?
Wonder of the Seas introduced a dedicated Suite Neighborhood on her upper decks. Sky and Star Class suite guests get a private Suite Sun Deck with a plunge pool and bar, the Suite Lounge with daily hors d’oeuvres, and Coastal Kitchen, a restaurant reserved for suite guests and Pinnacle Club members.
What is included in the fare?
The Main Dining Room, Windjammer, Solarium Bistro, El Loco Fresh, Park Café, Boardwalk Dog House, Café Promenade, Sorrento’s and Sprinkles are included, along with the shows, slides, pools, FlowRiders and most activities. Specialty dining, drinks packages, Wi-Fi and the spa are extra. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where the cruise line allows it, not available booking direct.
Which stateroom should I choose?
For a short Bahamas run, an Interior or Virtual Balcony room keeps the cost down. Boardwalk or Central Park view balconies give a lively outlook for less than an ocean balcony. Families who want space should look at the Ultimate Family Suite or the two-bedroom AquaTheater Suites.
