About Anthem of the Seas

Anthem of the Seas debuted in April 2015 as the second Quantum Class ship, a 168,666 gross ton vessel with 2,090 staterooms and 4,180 guests at double occupancy. It carries the full set of Quantum Class signatures: the North Star glass capsule that rises 300 feet above the ocean, the RipCord by iFLY skydiving simulator, the SeaPlex arena with bumper cars and roller skating, a FlowRider surf simulator and the Two70 lounge whose aft windows turn into a video wall for the Spectra’s Cabaret show.

Anthem is known for its entertainment: the Royal Theater stages the Queen musical We Will Rock You, Two70 hosts Spectra’s Cabaret with flying Roboscreens, and Music Hall and Boleros keep live music going late. Dining ranges from the included Main Dining Room, Windjammer and Café @ Two70 to Jamie’s Italian, Wonderland, Chops Grille and Izumi. Virtual-balcony interiors and an indoor pool make it a good fit for cool-weather cruising.

For 2026 and 2027 Anthem of the Seas alternates between the Northern and Southern hemispheres. It sails 7 night Alaska cruises round trip from Seattle in summer 2026, repositions via Hawaii to Sydney for an October 2026 to April 2027 season of South Pacific, New Zealand and Australian getaways, then returns to Alaska in summer 2027 on 7 night one-way sailings between Seward and Vancouver with Denali cruisetour options before heading back to Sydney.

Where does Anthem of the Seas sail in 2026 and 2027?
Anthem sails 7 night Alaska cruises round trip from Seattle from May to September 2026, then repositions via Hawaii to Sydney for an October 2026 to April 2027 season of 3 to 11 night cruises to the South Pacific, New Zealand and Tasmania. Summer 2027 is Alaska again on 7 night one-way sailings between Seward and Vancouver, followed by another Sydney season from October 2027.
What are the signature attractions on Anthem of the Seas?
The North Star capsule lifts guests 300 feet above the sea for views of glaciers or harbors, RipCord by iFLY lets you try indoor skydiving, the SeaPlex has bumper cars and roller skating, and the FlowRider offers surfing at sea. At night the Two70 lounge becomes a theater for Spectra’s Cabaret while the Royal Theater stages We Will Rock You.
Which staterooms are best on Anthem of the Seas?
For Alaska and New Zealand, a balcony stateroom pays off on glacier and fjord days. Interior staterooms with virtual balconies are the best value because the live-view screen makes the room feel open. Families should consider Grand Suites or the two-level loft suites for extra space plus Coastal Kitchen and concierge benefits.
What is included in the fare on Anthem of the Seas?
The Main Dining Room, Windjammer, Café @ Two70, Sorrento’s, Café Promenade and the SeaPlex Dog House are included, along with all shows, the North Star on most sailings, the FlowRider, SeaPlex, rock climbing and Adventure Ocean. Specialty restaurants, alcoholic drinks and Wi-Fi are extra. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Royal Caribbean allows it, not available booking direct.
Is Anthem of the Seas good for an Alaska cruise?
Yes. Its indoor venues, including the SeaPlex, Two70, an indoor pool and the Solarium, suit Alaska weather, and the North Star gives a unique elevated view of glaciers. In 2027 the ship sails one-way between Seward and Vancouver with Hubbard Glacier scenic cruising and optional Denali cruisetours, which lets you see interior Alaska as well as the Inside Passage.
