About Liberty of the Seas
Liberty of the Seas is a Freedom Class ship that entered service in 2007 and came out of a Royal Amplified dry dock in spring 2026 with a reimagined Caribbean-style pool deck, The Lime & Coconut bar, rentable casitas, Izumi Teppanyaki, El Loco Fresh, a new Starbucks, an expanded Casino Royale, a Royal Escape Room and additional staterooms. At roughly 154,000 gross tons she carries 3,798 guests at double occupancy across 14 guest decks, so she feels big without the crowds of an Oasis Class ship.
Her signature is the water. Liberty carries three waterslides: the dueling Typhoon and Cyclone racers of The Perfect Storm plus Tidal Wave, the boomerang-style slide that is unique to this ship, alongside the Splashaway Bay kids’ aqua park and a FlowRider surf simulator. Add the Studio B ice rink, a rock climbing wall, Liberty Dunes mini golf and a sports court, and families with active kids and teens have plenty to fill a four or five night sailing.
For 2026 Liberty spends the summer in Southampton on Norwegian Fjords, Northern Europe and Spain and Portugal cruises, then returns to Galveston at the end of October 2026 for year-round 4 and 5 night Western Caribbean sailings to Cozumel and Costa Maya through 2027 and into 2028. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on Liberty sailings where Royal Caribbean allows it, which you will not get booking direct.
