About Regal Princess

Regal Princess is the second Royal Class ship, launched in May 2014 and christened that November by the original cast of The Love Boat. She is 142,229 gross tons with 1,780 staterooms and 3,560 guests at double occupancy, and like her twin Royal Princess she introduced the SeaWalk, a glass-floored walkway that extends 28 feet beyond the ship’s side, the three-deck Piazza atrium, the Princess WaterColor Fantasy fountain show and more than 1,400 balconies.

Three main dining rooms (Allegro, Concerto and Symphony) are joined by Crown Grill, Sabatini’s, Alfredo’s Pizzeria, Chef’s Table Lumiere, the Ocean Terrace seafood bar and the Crab Shack pop-up, plus the International Café, Prego pizza and the Trident Grill by the pool. The adults-only Sanctuary, the Lotus Spa with The Enclave thermal suite and Reserve Collection dining for mini-suites and suites complete a ship that favors relaxed, grown-up cruising.

Regal Princess is Fort Lauderdale’s year-round Princess ship through winter 2026 to 2027, sailing 6 to 14 night Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean cruises to Princess Cays, Amber Cove, Grand Turk, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan, with Celebration Key added from November 9, 2026. In April 2027 she crosses to Southampton for a summer of Scandinavia, Baltic, Mediterranean and Canary Islands cruises, then sails Canada and New England from New York in fall 2027.

Regal Princess questions we answer every day

How big is Regal Princess?
Regal Princess is 142,229 gross tons, 1,083 feet long with 19 decks, and carries 3,560 guests at double occupancy in 1,780 staterooms with a crew of 1,346. She is the second Royal Class ship and a twin of Royal Princess, entering service in May 2014.
Where does Regal Princess sail in 2026 and 2027?
She sails year-round from Fort Lauderdale through April 2027 on 6 to 14 night Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean cruises, with Celebration Key calls from November 9, 2026. She then crosses to Southampton for summer 2027 cruises to Scandinavia, the Baltic, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands, and sails Canada and New England from New York in fall 2027.
Which staterooms are best on Regal Princess?
Standard balconies are plentiful and well priced, Deluxe Balconies add a sofa bed, and Reserve Collection Mini-Suites give exclusive dining room seating and a bathtub for a modest step up. Regal Princess has very few oceanview staterooms, so choose between an interior for value and a balcony for the view.
What is included in the fare on Regal Princess?
The three main dining rooms, World Fresh Marketplace, International Café, Prego, Trident Grill, Swirls, afternoon tea, theater shows, the WaterColor Fantasy show, pools, the fitness center and the youth centers are included. Crown Grill, Sabatini’s, Alfredo’s, Ocean Terrace, drinks and Wi-Fi cost extra or come with Princess Plus or Premier. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Princess allows it, something you will not get booking direct.
What is the SeaWalk on Regal Princess?
The SeaWalk is a glass-floored walkway on Deck 16 that curves 28 feet beyond the side of the ship, 128 feet above the water, so you can look straight down at the sea. Across the deck the SeaView Bar sits on a matching cantilevered platform. Both debuted on Royal and Regal Princess and are a signature of the class.
Is Regal Princess good for families?
Yes for Caribbean sailings: The Treehouse, The Lodge and The Beach House youth centers, Movies Under the Stars, four pools, mini golf and a sports court keep kids busy, and family suites with connecting cabins are available. Her European and transatlantic itineraries are longer and attract an older crowd.
