About Royal Princess

Royal Princess launched the Royal Class in June 2013 and was christened in Southampton by the Duchess of Cambridge, now the Princess of Wales. At 142,229 gross tons with 1,780 staterooms and 3,560 guests at double occupancy, she introduced the features that every later Princess ship inherited: the three-deck Piazza atrium, the SeaWalk glass walkway 128 feet above the water, the Princess WaterColor Fantasy fountain show and a ship where almost every outside stateroom has a balcony.

Dining runs through the Allegro, Concerto and Symphony main dining rooms, the World Fresh Marketplace buffet and the International Café, with Crown Grill, Sabatini’s, Alfredo’s Pizzeria, Chef’s Table Lumiere, the Ocean Terrace seafood bar and the Crab Shack pop-up as extras. Mini-suites in the Reserve Collection and all suites have their own dining area, and the adults-only Sanctuary and Lotus Spa with The Enclave thermal suite are the places to unwind.

Royal Princess is Princess’s globetrotter for 2026 and 2027. After a summer of Alaska cruises from Seattle she sails a Grand Adventure through Japan and Southeast Asia to Singapore, homeports there for two cruises in October and November 2026, then sails from Sydney through the 2026 to 2027 Australian summer to New Zealand, Fiji and the Queensland coast. Summer 2027 brings 7 night Glacier Bay cruises from Seattle every Saturday, and she returns to Sydney in November 2027.

Summer 2027 is Glacier Bay cruises from Seattle every Saturday, and she returns to Sydney in November 2027.
Which staterooms are best on Royal Princess?
With no standard oceanview category, choose an interior for value or a balcony for the view; Deluxe Balconies add a sofa bed. Reserve Collection Mini-Suites give exclusive dining room seating and a tub. For Glacier Bay any balcony works because the ship turns to show both sides; for the Inside Passage a starboard balcony northbound faces the shore.
What is included in the fare on Royal Princess?
The three main dining rooms, World Fresh Marketplace, International Café, Prego, Trident Grill, Swirls, afternoon tea, theater and WaterColor Fantasy shows, pools, the fitness center and the youth centers are included. Crown Grill, Sabatini’s, Alfredo’s, Ocean Terrace, drinks and Wi-Fi are extra or bundled in Princess Plus or Premier. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Princess allows it, something you will not get booking direct.
What is the Reserve Collection on Royal Princess?
Reserve Collection is the premium tier for Royal Princess mini-suites and suites. Guests dine in a reserved section of the main dining room with expedited seating and an enhanced menu, and receive premium bedding, upgraded bathroom amenities and priority service. It is Princess’s alternative to the Sanctuary Collection found only on Sun and Star Princess.
Is Royal Princess good for families?
Yes, especially on the 7 night Seattle Alaska cruises. The Treehouse, The Lodge and The Beach House cover ages 3 to 17, Movies Under the Stars runs family films, and Deluxe Balconies and mini-suites sleep up to four. The long Asia and Australia voyages attract mostly couples and retirees.
