About American Pride
American Pride is the classic paddlewheeler of the Columbia and Snake Rivers, built in 2012 and listed by American Cruise Lines at 150 guests. Its decor draws on Western and Native American themes and the Lewis and Clark Expedition that the route follows, with a serene palette, luxurious textiles and regional artwork. Elevators reach all five passenger decks, and the lounges are built for scenery: the Paddlewheel Lounge at the stern, the River Lounge at the bow, a midship lounge, The Study and the Sky Lounge on deck 4 beside the fitness center.
Staterooms match the line’s Mississippi paddlewheelers. Every balcony category is 300 square feet, Veranda Suites on decks 3 and 4 are at least 360 square feet, Main Deck Standard Waterview rooms are 245 square feet, and solo travelers get dedicated Single Balcony rooms of 235 square feet on three decks. Balcony rooms on decks 3 and 4 have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors; deck 2 Standard Balcony rooms use picture windows and a push door to the balcony.
American Pride sails the eight-night Columbia and Snake Rivers Cruise one way between Portland, Oregon, and Clarkston, Washington, from October 2026 right through 2027, with the Columbia River Gorge round trip from Portland opening each spring season in March and April. Ports include Astoria, Kalama, The Dalles, Pendleton or Richland and Lewiston, with Hells Canyon and Multnomah Falls among the excursions.
